Busker Brownes Charity Tag Rugby Blitz

It’s Back!! The Busker Brownes Charity Tag Rugby Blitz now in its second year is taking place at Corinthians RFC, Galway on Saturday August 14th. The event will kick of at 12pm, with 4 mixed leagues available on the day for all levels of Tag Rugby players, everyone from the Super Speedy to the Social Beginners we have a league for you! BBQ, entertainment, bar and lots of prizes will be offer throughout the day for players, supporters and spectators alike. Each team is guaranteed four matches in the group stages, trophies will be awarded to winners across all four leagues on the day.

The Buskers Charity Tag Blitz is one of the best value one day Tag Blitz’s taking place this year, early bird registration of just €250 per team of 12 is available until July 23rd, after that registration is €300 per team! If you register your team before the 23rd July you will also be entered into the draw to win a set of tickets to a Connacht Rugby Home game this season! A massive post party and prize giving will take place in Buskers at 8pm following the action on the pitch.

The basics for 2010 are the same as last year

• Teams of 12 players (Minimum 3 girls on the team)
• IRFU Tag Rules apply
• Each team is guaranteed 4 matches on the day
• Prizes will be awarded to winners in all leagues.
• Full BBQ available throughout the day
• DJ & entertainment throughout the Blitz
• Lots of Prizes to be won all day.
• Post Blitz Party in Buskers

Proceeds from the event will support the work of local charities, Enable Ireland, Galway Simon, Croi and Empowerment Plus who provide essential services in our local community in Galway.

This coming Thursday is the date for the Annual Treasure Hunt which will kick off at 9.30pm in the Folk House in Kinsale. This was a huge success last year and we hope it's going to be even better this year!! Hope you'll be able to join us! The clubhouse bar will close at 8.30 that evening.
Thursday the 9th July will be the mix-it-up night so be sure to request any team you'd like a rematch with in plenty of time!!

Kinsale Tag Rugby Kicks Off

The 2010 Tag Rugby season kicked off in Kinsale last night with all teams playing two half hour games. These games were planned to give teams an opportunity to get their skills sharpened for the league games that will kick off next week. There was a great buzz in the club with loads of new faces (a few old reliables) and Graham from Barracuda cooking up a storm as usual. The summer is here and Thursday night is Tag night!!

Tag Rugby Fitness Camp 2010

Now the fun begins, this camp will run right up to the start of the competition. It will include fitness, skills and of course a few games!! All levels of fitness and ability welcome. Look forward to seeing you there!
